Positive: Good location within Horwich and room was nicely decorated and bed comfy.

Negative: Loud music on Friday night which could be heard from two levels up. Luckily this stopped around 10.30pm. The website and information card in room stated breakfast was served from 9.30am onwards, but when we went to reception we found out the hotel hadn't served this for weeks. This was one of the main reasons we re-booked this after having staying last year and enjoying a lovely breakfast so we were left feeling a little dissapointed. To add to this there was no milk provided in the room so I couldnt even make a cup of tea.

Summary: Pleasant comfy room but no breakfast and sometimes noisy at weekend.

Positive: Very clean and spacious room. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Good facilities.

Negative: We knew there would be a bit of noise during the weekend as the hotel is on the 2nd floor of a pub. The first 2 nights, the noise ended at a reasonable time, before midnight and had no impact on our sleep. However, on the Sunday of the August bank holiday, the music was very loud and it only stopped at 1.10 in the morning.

Positive: Room was comfortable and quiet, had everything I needed.

Negative: I could have done with the breakfast being served earlier than 9.30am, as I needed to get underway to get home. The breakfast itself was generally OK, but the bacon was a bit overcooked for my liking, and the scrambled egg definitely was.
