Positive: We loved the location of the Bothy. It's 15/20 minutes walk to the southern end of Windermere Lake. All other Windermere locations a easy drive away. If U want a more quieter walk then opt for the west coast of Windermere. The East Coast can get very busy. The Bothy itself was great & the owners communication via text was available whenever we needed anything. The TV has fully Subscribed Netflix & Prime Video too. (maybe others, but those two were enough) The bothy has two bathrooms with a shower & toilet in each. I'd have loved a bath but unfortunately there's not one at the bothy. There's a washing machine in the smaller bathroom & a dishwasher in the kitchen. There's a wood burning heater too, although we didn't need to use it. The bothy has underfloor heating too. Outside there's a BBQ too if U want to use it. I'd recommend it to anyone who values a bit of an escape & lots of peace & quite..

Negative: There was nothing wrong with the bothy. If you'd had to push me on a negative I'd have liked a bath.

Positive: Property was in a beautiful location . Really clean and comfortable with modern amenities but still felt like a cosy cottage. Lovely log burner if It had been cold. Plenty of tea , coffee, even supplied shampoo, conditioner and body wash . Toys and treats for dogs was really thoughtful.

Negative: Can’t fault anything.

Summary: Lovely cottage in great location didn’t want to leave.

Positive: Very comfortable, well equipped, two bathrooms and a good location. The place was so bright in the day, on 3 occasions I flipped the light switch thinking we didn’t need the light on…only to realise it wasn’t on - it was all natural light coming from the skylight windows! Hosts were very helpful and left some unexpected treats for us to arrive to which made the arrival after a long journey more welcoming and fun! There were great walks from the location - you can walk to and join (or just observe as we did!) the Saturday park runs at Fell Foot park (southern end of Windermere) - takes about 20 minutes to reach the starting point from the property. We also liked the location as we could drive 15 minutes and go south to the promenade at grange over sands (Morecambe Bay) - or 35 minutes north to see lakes/caves/waterfalls (we went to Coniston and Little langdale). Photo added is from a public pathway just left when coming out the property’s gate - you head upwards and reach that view of Windermere in about 15 minutes!

Positive: Easy, stress free booking and access, property owner gave full details and answered all questions. Exceptionally clean and the underfloor heating is a great addition. Log burner wasn't used but would be great on those cold evenings. Very comfy and two bathrooms. Coniston and Windermere only a 20 min drive for full Lake District access.

Positive: The property was stunning, and perfect location for the activities we had planned.

Negative: The only down side for me was the bed and sofa unfortunately the bed way too hard for me so didn’t sleep well within my stay, and the sofa was more pleasing on the eye than it was for chilling on.

Summary: Would definitely book again just because it was a perfect spot and my boys loved it.
