Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: We loved the little fridges in our rooms and the breakfast choice. Excellent service and packed lunches were a great idea.
Negative: Honestly? Nothing. More community owned pubs should do what you do.
Summary: Friendly stay with comfortable rooms

Positive: Close to SOuth Downs Way, clean, friendly staff.
Negative: Very hot day and the room very hot. Not much could be done about it!
Summary: Well needed and friendly stay on our SDW walk.

Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Nice room, clean, warm and good shower.
Negative: It was the most expensive accommodation we stayed in during our ten day trip walking the South Downs Way. I think it is overpriced. The only thing that lets the Bluebell down is the breakfast which is in the room and was a porridge pot, fruit yoghurt and breakfast bars. If they sorted out breakfast it would be a great.
Summary: Really liked the staff. Good facilities, terrible breakfast.

Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Comfy clean and good food.
Negative: If doing the South Downs way from Amberley direction bit of a dodgy walk along the road. If coming the other way there is an excellent cut through!
Summary: Comfy beds, quiet accommodation. Good breakfast in room to get on the move the next day!

Positive: The breakfast was the major issue of concern. Advertized as "Continental", there was not even a slice of bread, just some plastic stuff.

Positive: Lovely welcome from Tara! Clean and tidy
Negative: Last minute realisation that food not on that eve, breakfast in a hamper - but found cadence up the road on the South Downs way by accident - Be good to let guests know as the fry up was ace! couldn’t buy lunch as no staff around in morning and reckon we would of. Most expensive place we stayed .. quite a bit more than the black horse in Amberley which was interesting .
Summary: Friendly, simple and sweet

Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The team running the pub and rooms were very hospitable and did a great job welcoming us. The evening meals were excellent and very enjoyable. The grab and go breakfast was more than adequate and a good solution as the kitchen wasn't open in the mornings.
Negative: My room (No. 1) was well-appointed but it would have been better with sockets or even USB sockets nearer to the bedside table for charging my phone.
Summary: A community-owned pub playing an important role in the village as well as a great place to stay
