Positive: Property itself is fantastic - rooms were comfortable and stylish, with wonderful bedding and amenities. The restaurant was excellent with a pretty decent wine list. The staff are friendly, polite, and so helpful. The location in downtown New Haven, close to restaurants and shopping as well as Yale, couldn’t be beat.

Negative: My only complaint about the Blake has to do with the fraternity houses nearby. They made such a racket until about 3 o’clock in the morning, it was actually difficult to sleep. I know it’s probably not their default, the Blake for its neighbors, but it really is hard to sleep when the parties are raging.

Summary: Wonderful, except for the noisy neighbors.

Positive: The very friendly staff, the large yet cozy lobby, the onsite restaurant and the size of the well appointed room. The Restaurant's cocktails and food were very good.

Negative: An additional charge was added to my bill after check in without being presented, but this was resolved over the phone a few days later and was handled politely and professionally.

Summary: A very welcoming stay in modern comfort with beautiful delicious food and drink!

Positive: The property is beautiful and well-located adjacent to the Yale University campus. It is near the hospital, too. The staff was exceptionally helpful. I dropped a glove in the lobby and the server who had waited on me at dinner brought it to my room. I loved the kitchen in my room, as well, with good dishes and glassware, espresso machine. The gym was extremely well-equipped.

Negative: I wish they would serve breakfast. Utensils and silverware were not evident in the in-room kitchen. Perhaps I missed them.

Summary: I can't wait to come back.
