Positive: Excellent central location for us, in North Dallas. Dallas's commuter rail line is adjacent, and we appreciated a walking/biking path that follows the rail line.

Negative: We have been staying in this hotel for years and have been disappointed in changes made by new Marriott management that are downgrades of a formerly four star hotel: poorer coffee makers, ice machines on every other floor, poorly redecorated lobby, other small touches. Parking remains awkward, with either expensive valet or distant high rise lot behind hotel, essentially a block away and on the fifth floor of garage. Most troubling on this stay, we booked five nights in a queen room on Bookings.com but when we get to our room it was substituted for a "king room handicapped accessible". When we immediately complained, we were told that that "all bookings made through third parties get what is left over". As the room was prepaid we had no recourse but to endure this unaesthetic downgrade. This of course is unacceptable. It is an expensive room. If they participate with third parties at all, they should honor what is promised. A reservation is a reservation.

Summary: Good North Dallas location but not what it used to be.

Negative: The AC in the room didn’t work great. It stayed about 72 the entire time even though we turned it to 67 (the lowest it would go).
