Positive: The whole environment and the birds, animals and people (hosts!) had a wonderful ‘feel’ to it. Such a joyous thing in these abrasive times. So the experience was very relaxing but also invigorating. Lucy was so helpful in every way including helping getting the stove for the hot tub going - and keeping it going! For me, the bird feeder was a delight with Long - tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Robin, Dunnock, etc. And because of the cold snap oop north, we had Redwings and Fieldfares taking advantage of the windfalls in the orchard. And this creaky overweight 75 year old managed to get into the hot tub at the closing of the day for a serene hour. We went to the local community owned and run pub (our hosts put in a lot of time and energy as do other locals in running the place. It had a warm welcoming lovely atmosphere which made that pint of Tribute extra delicious!
Negative: …another few days!! Hopefully next time.
Summary: A delightful Devon hideaway!

Positive: A beautiful place. I had an emotional response when I walked in as it seemed so peaceful and idyllic with the fairy lights on and the reading chairs. Just a lovely place.
Negative: Sadly being a larger variety of person we found the bed a little small as we’re used to king size or super king beds. That meant we didn’t sleep so well but I’m sure it would be fabulous for normal sized people.
Summary: Beautiful, peaceful place with hygge at its core, definitely worth a visit
