Positive: The room was fantastic. Very comfortable and pleasant to stay in. The spa and beautiful gardens were an added bonus. The front of house staff did an amazing job in making us feel welcome, adding a few chocolates and a card in the room congratulationing us on our recent marriage. This was a nice touch.

Negative: The bar and restaurant staff. They seem to be very slow in giving us menus and taking our order. We got up ourselves a number of times to order at the bar. Our breakfast was also missing part of the order. We asked 3 different people for the missing item and we eventually had to walk away due to time constraints. We’re very patient people but this service wasn’t expected with the reputation of the hotel.

Positive: Beautiful, city centre and and exceptional customer service

Negative: Nothing. It was warm and the room did not have air conditioning but the hotel accommodated for this which left us happy

Summary: If you want 5 star service… this is the place.

Positive: The property is incredible and the staff is great. The only slight negative is that the location does not have good transit access and the quality of the taxi service from the Bath Spa train station is uneven.

Positive: Gorgeous old building beautifully preserved, really nice to cosy up and have a drink in one of the sitting rooms. Nice gardens to wonder in, pool facilities were clean and quiet. Great breakfast as you can choose as much as you like. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful

Negative: very minor comment but found the lighting in the bathroom a bit harsh. Also when we arrived our dressing gowns were a bit damp in areas / weren’t dried out properly.

Summary: Really gorgeous cosy stay would very much reccomend
