Originally built as a carriage house in 1895, the property has several historic features that have been painstakingly preserved including hand laid hand-mortared stone walls along the lower section of the western wall and a 120` by 15` hand-mortared stone wall along the driveway / parking area. With renovations completed in the summer of 2012 including a hand-mortared natural stone shower.

Summary: The Barn was such a lovely place for a retreat. We initially planned our stay to fill our days with all the normal "tourist stops" but we were so enchanted by the Barn that we ended up spending most of our time there taking in the views and re-connecting with nature. The hosts have gone to great lengths to ensure everyrhing that you would need is supplied. Additionally, the communication was so flawless and Dani and Mili were so extremeley attentive to any questions/concerns we had but never overbearing. Exactly the type of hosts we enjoy working with. Ten out of ten - we HIGHLY recommend!

Summary: The Barn exceeded expectations. Judging by the photos, we knew it would be nice but it was even better than we had hoped. Check in was simple and the place had everything you could hope for. The amenities were great, especially the kitchen, bed and shower. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the hot tub and fire pit were a nice way to wind down at night. We were a little concerned about the drive to and from downtown but it was no more than 10-12 minutes in either direction. We did see two bears, one on the drive up to check in and one in the morning on the property. No issues either time.We would stay here again without hesitation. The price was more than reasonable for what we got in return. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Summary: My wife and I went here to get away from the city and celebrate her birthday. We were immediately impressed with how beautiful the property was. Nestled in the trees and secluded. The barn is beautifully appointed and comfortable. You are 10-15 minutes from anywhere you want to go in Ashville. In short, we had an amazing experience. If there were any moments of disappointment, it was that our trip was too short. We will definitely be back!Michael

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for a few nights to get a break from everyday life. This place was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy all the gorgeous views. The Barn was so cozy and beautifully decorated. So close to Asheville but far enough up the mountain to feel secluded. We will definitely return again and again!

Summary: This beautiful cabin is the perfect place in every way! The hosts were communicative, kind, and wonderfully welcoming. The view is the BEST view we saw of ANYWHERE during our trip. That’s no joke! We kept finding ways and reasons to do nothing but be at The Barn, or to come back to it as quickly as we could. It is very very clean and has everything you need. And, it’s in a gorgeous neighborhood! It is tucked away enough to where it is quiet, but is an easy drive to town at the same time. We cannot wait to come back!!!!
