Summary: Good but not great. Centrally located, clean and with friendly staff. My room, and apparently most rooms, lacked natural light. Lunch and dinner options at the hotel were very good, but breakfast options were quite limited.

Summary: I have to give them 5* just for the location and the great staff. From reception to housekeeping and security, everybody is very friendly and trying their best. The property itself is tired. No lobby or lounge as such, no elevator. I saw some elderly people struggle on the stairs. Their traditional suites are larger rooms with a small couch. The heritage is there but I would rate the property an average 2* and it is overpriced.

Summary: Generally good. Lovely Heritage hotel. Nice rooms. Short ride from Park Street and the tourist attractions but nothing that great near the hotel. Staff were generally pleasant. Main issue was hygiene. Whilst the hotel appeared clean, I saw a mouse in the restaurant one evening and a member of staff putting a used plate back in the cupboard without washing.

Summary: Stayed there for couple of nights..good location, easy taxi, awesome room comfort. Breakfast is reasonable but can be better. Worth every rupee spent.

Summary: We were two friends staying at the Astor for a weekend getaway in Kolkata. Hotel Astor was very nice, clean and the beds were super comfy. Really liked the feel of the hotel and the staff were nice and friendly. The only downside was that we had big problems with the Wi-Fi, that kept disconnecting. Sadly the staff did not seem to eager to help us solve it, or could not as the code system they had put in place was very complicated. Also, there could only be one person connected at a time from each room, which is just not good enough. Breakfast was ok, but nothing spectacular.
