This stunning 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment is brand spanking new - along with all of the furnishings. It includes one queen & one full size ensuite bedrooms. The unit is extremely clean and very nicely decorated. Only a 5 minute walk to Ashmont station (red line), which will take you directly to downtown Boston, Harvard Square, South Boston, Kendall/MIT, U Mass. There are two great restaurants nearby - Via Cannuccia and Tavolo Ristorante, as well as a local coffee shop + a Dunkin just across the T station.
The Space
The historical property was built in 1894. It is located in Ashmont Hill, which is an area within Boston's Dorchester neighborhood that is known for their beautiful victorian homes, and its diverse and eclectic neighborhood.
The house is located only about a five minute walk from Ashmont T station, which is the first or last station on the red line. Extremely convenient.
The Ashmont Apartment is Unit 1 (First Floor) of our two family home to which we have converted the entire property into a unique Guest House and Outdoor Living Space that is open year round, with the exception of The Office - which is closed during the winter months. The Ashmont Suite or Unit 2 is in the second and third Floor, while @ The Boiler Room is located in the garden level.

Summary: This was a lovely apartment with great amenities and well equipped kitchen. It was sparkling clean with comfortable beds. Just an FYI, it was farther from downtown than I expected; a 20-25 Uber/Lyft or 25-30 minute train ride, and there is not much within walking distance. Knowing that, it was a nice apartment with good outdoor patio

Summary: This was a lovely Victorian home and it is evident that the owners take a lot of pride in maintaining it and providing for their guests. The beds were comfortable and the shower lovely. There were plenty of kitchen amenities for cooking, although we did not use them. The downsides were a couple. As others mention, there is not a lot of sound insulation. One night we had a family above us and you could hear very clearly the sound of little feet running overhead. You also can clearly hear road noise from the two nearest streets. Fortunately, both of these noises settled down by 10:00 so we didn't have any issues getting sleep. The house is on a very nice street, but, again as others have said, a block or two over the neighborhood is a little sketchier than we would have liked. But we had no issues whatsoever.The unit more than adequately served our purpose, which was to attend our daughter's graduation and move her stuff out of her apartment. Overall, it was roomy enough for the two of us and very clean.

Summary: Hosts are very responsive & accommodating! Our group had a couple concerns regarding our luggage & the hosts made sure we had everything figured out. The property is very beautifully maintained & is within a 10 minute walk of the subway. If public transport isn’t for you, there are plenty of Uber/Lyfts in the area. I would stay here again when visiting Boston!

Summary: Very nice property and very clean. Nicely decorated and updated. Would have appreciated a standard (regular) coffee maker and some instructions on how to operate the nespresso. We also thought there was a washer and dryer based on the listing, but this 2 bedroom unit does not have them.

Summary: I needed a one night stay before starting a tour throughout New England. This location was easy to get to from the trains, the apartment was wonderfully kept and easy to stay in. If you’re in the area, I would consider this location.
