Summary: The property was great and the vie from the balcony is beautiful. My only complaint or suggestion would be to have a map leading the beach. We drove 15 minutes to go to a beach. I booked because the listing states there was a beach in walking distance.

Summary: Wonderful! Gorgeous, perfectly clean unit, in a well-maintained gated community. The unit is incredibly functional. In addition to the features listed in Vrbo, it's also well-stocked with supplies (moisturizer, bottled water, washing detergent, packaged toothbrushes, etc.). Strong A/C units (bedroom and main room). Any time I contacted the owner, she replied promptly, and got things done. The gated community is in the heart of Negril village. No problem there, since it's close to a cambio, and food (incl. street meat, jerk chicken -- yum!). The village is a bit gritty, and the beach is not immediately accessible. But, in exchange, the accommodations are reasonably priced. So, with the savings, it was a cinch to rent a car (a real bonus!). The pool is exactly as pictured, but I'm an ocean guy. So, I took advantage of the various places on nearby Seven Mile Beach to buy drinks, and get a spot with recliners. I also did a day-trip to the superb Westender Inn, which was phenomenal (with the equivalent of a $20 USD food/drinks minimum). Friends of mine also went to Hedonism, which is another way to have a great beach day. Plenty of options. The drive from Sangster airport to Negril was a bit of a challenge (esp. since it was on a rainy night, and the lighting en route is non-existent for much of the drive). If that's too daunting, transportation is easy to arrange. Thanks so much Latika!!
