2 Bedroom Cottage in Pleugriffet

The Annexe and the owners' home are on 2.3 hectares of delightful grounds which are totally private and fully fenced (to preserve your privacy and the safety of your children).
The Annexe is an original stone cottage attached to the owner's house but still a completely private dwelling. It still has features from the past, such as the original wooden beams and the Breton granite fireplace from the old days. The fireplace can be used in the colder months. The price of the logs is NOT included in the rental price. It depends on the amount of wood you order. If you wish to use the Breton fireplace, please ask for the price of the wood.
Carport and clotheslines, private patio with stone barbecue, table with six chairs and parasol. Sun loungers are also provided. Beyond the patio, The Annexe overlooks a large fenced area where there is an aboveground swimming pool (air-thermal assisted heating at 27° centigrade) located nearby, as well as several leisure facilities (swings, trampoline, picnic table, playhouse, etc.) for the very young - all within sight of the parents.
Please note: We receive many requests for the exclusive use of the pool. Our pool is NOT open to the public but is shared with guests who have booked into our Hibou Cottage and with us (the owners).
For our quieter guests, we have family games such as chess, backgammon, cards, etc.
For our older and more active visitors, we have petanque balls, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks and volleyball and table tennis.
The entrance to the house is via one of two sets of patio doors accessible from the private patio. The patio doors lead directly into a large living/dining/kitchen area. The interior of the Annexe is spotless, bright, spacious and fully equipped.
The lounge area has a traditional Breton fireplace built in. Free Wi-Fi and internet. Television in French, English and German. Blu-Ray DVD.
The kitchen and dining area: The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, four-ring hob, microwave, etc. The cupboards are generously stocked with crockery and cutlery, including several child-friendly items. Extending table + 5 chairs.
The spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine, and there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (shower with WC).
Each sumptuous bed has a good mattress: 1 large spacious double bed + 2 single beds (sleeps 4).

Summary: Great holiday and a wonderful week in a lovely cottage, surroundings wonderful and lots to do in the grounds for both big and little kids, made the most of the pool when hot and pleasant evenings spent outside inc toasting Marshmallows on the last night. Wonderful family and a pleasure to recommend the Annexe to anyone. Local Towns delightful and many Beaches/attractions within an hours drive of the cottage

Summary: The Annexe is a lovely cottage, clean, fully equipped and very spacious for a family of four(5 and 7yr old boys). The garden is huge and has a massive pool,separate water slide, trampoline, football goals, table tennis, basketball hoop, swing set, and seating areas in various places. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Janine gave us a great tour of the cottage and garden and both she and her husband were available if we had any questions (they have also compiled a big binder full of ideas and recommdations). They are wonderful hosts! A well stocked supermarket and bakery are just a five minute drive away. Josselin, which is a charming little town with castle and restaurants, is 20min away( we rented a little boat there and the kids had a go at steering it down the river). Great beaches at Carnac and Damgan were about 1hr drives away, Vannes is slightly closer and a fun town to explore. We did a tree top adventure in St Roc, visited Pont Scorff zoo, and had some great walks in the Val sans retour and at Lac du Guerledan (Bois de Caurel circular walk). And it was a pleasure to come "home" at the end of the day and relax while the kids played in the garden. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind.

Summary: We thoroughly recommend the Annex at Parc de Lutin to any family in particular those with toddles to early teenagers, looking for a great, worry free and relaxing holiday in the peaceful Brittanny countryside. The Annex is a beautiful gite and the facilities outside are excellent. The swimming pool has been this weeks highlight with us in it everyday. The owners nextdoor are the perfect hosts and ensure that guests lack nothing. The excellent comprehensive information folder makes interesting reading and most useful. Thank you for seven lazy hazy days!!

Summary: We stayed for a week in the Annexe with our two girls aged 6 and 8. There was plenty of space and the property was modern and very clean throughout with a very well equipped kitchen (we cooked quite a lot) and generally everything you could want was provided- the owners were keen to make sure this was the case. The visitors information book provided us with everything we needed to know as well as good ideas for trips and recommendations. Outside is great especially for children- there is loads of space and every activity you could think of for all ages, all safely enclosed so the children explored and played freely. The outside eating area and surrounding garden is very pleasant, there are different areas to relax and the pool was enjoyed by the children at least once a day. The owners were friendly, thoughtful and helpful, giving us some useful ideas for trips. It is a quiet rural location, but around 10-15 mins drive from two interesting towns- Josselin with its chateau is particularly lovely and we all enjoyed cycling along the canal there (miles of flat, wide paths).

Summary: Where do I start? We have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks stay at the Annexe. It was quite simply the most perfect location for a break from our busy lives at home. The location is ideal to allow you to explore Morbihan and beyond - with somewhere new to visit every time we wanted an adventure. Equally we enjoyed some days of pure relaxation, with our three kids (9,7 and 4) enjoying all the amenities on site - more space than they could ever use, trampoline, swings set, various volleyball, and swing sets...and of course the fabulous little pool, which they used everyday. We also discovered a family love for table tennis and had great fun identifying the family champion over the 2 week break! The accommodation is superb, spacious, spotlessly clean, fully equipped with things you didn't even know you might need! Janine is just lovely and incredibly helpful - always available on site but very discrete. I was able to easily feed my family of fussy eaters - choosing to cook most evenings in the fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher - hurrah!) - Reguiny is only a 4 minute drive away so the intermarche there allowed me to keep the fridge stocked and I popped out to the boulangerie every morning for fresh bread. We ate most meals outdoors in the sunshine - at the beautiful large table and chairs on our doorstep, with our huge parasol sheltering us when necessary. I cannot recommend this property highly enough - if you are looking for a real break away from it all where your kids will have the freedom to enjoy the French sunshine whilst being completely safe - and you want the space and luxury of the good life - book now!

Summary: The Retreat provides excellent holiday accommodation. The gites has been beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated providing really comfortable accommodation with all modern conveniences. Surrounded by lovely gardens, with a small swimming pool and swings/play area for young children. An excellent place for a relaxing holiday with lots of interesting places to visit in the surrounding area. The owners live on site and were extremely welcoming and very helpful.
