Positive: Location was great for day trips out to see places, local shop few minutes walk and we'll stocked. Lovely very old cottage but good heating and welcoming, lots of treats for dog and us in welcome pack. Beds comfy and lots of storage for unpacking.

Negative: The stairs are tricky at the top , split landing , could do with another handrail by bathroom . Would have been ideal with a toilet downstairs but that's personal preference. A simple guide to how to use things like dishwasher and TV would have been useful. The garden was a bit overgrown and as the weather was wet and windy we didn't use it but the courtyard is a sunny space.Windows upstairs tricky to open.

Summary: Enjoyable, great location and comfortable stay in grade 2 listed cottage.

Positive: Quiet, comfortable cottage with plenty of character and a peaceful courtyard and garden. Lovely pub a short walk away serving real ale and good food. Host Kristina responded quickly to questions and left fresh milk and a welcome bottle of fizz in the fridge.

Negative: The stairs are quite steep and have an unusual arrangement at the top to give access to the two bedrooms. It was OK for us but it may not suit some people with reduced mobility.

Summary: Very enjoyable short stay. We appreciated the welcome gifts! We'll be back!

Negative: The fridge didn’t seem to work to full capacity and was very small and the freezer was tiny and also didn’t work well when more than one item stored in it
