Positive: We had a fantastic stay at Te Tiro Chalets. From the moment we arrived, Angus and Rachel were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was so quaint, very comfortable, well-kept, and set in a beautiful location with absolutely amazing views that made the whole experience even more special. The sunrise was something not to be missed and could be enjoyed with a cup of coffee on the balcony of the chalet. Te tiro also has its own glow worms which were beautiful to see. There are also some beautiful walks with even more spectacular views around the hillside. Everything was well organised, and you can tell Angus and Rachel really care about making your stay special. It was a relaxing and memorable experience, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Positive: The location and views/scenery were amazing and made it worth the stay. The hosts were very friendly and greeted us on our arrival. They also had recommendations for walks on their property (which were worth the trek) as well as the surrounding area, and good places nearby for dinner, etc.

Negative: In my opinion the place is really too small for 3 or 4 adults (we had 3 adults). Also, note: the private bathroom is detached.

Summary: We enjoyed the fabulous scenery and the remote location of the cottage.

Positive: Cozy little cottage on a family farm, a little bit out of the way but with breathtaking views of the New Zealand countryside all around you. There is even a little grotto not far from the cottage where you can see glowworms at night. There is practical kitchenette for prepare meals and they provide you with the stuff you need to make yourself a delicious breakfast. Staff was very accommodating and answered all our questions prior to arrival.

Negative: Ladder to reach beds in the loft is hard on the feet and probably more for kids than adults.

Summary: Cozy little cottage on a family farm with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
