Positive: The owners are a retired couple. They were the sweetest hosts we've ever met and made sure it was really a homely stay for us. They recommended places to eat, places to shop, places to visit. They also arranged an auto for us to take us everywhere and were constantly accessible to help us out. They shared personal stories and travel experiences with us as well, making our journey memorable. The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were well made and all the facilities including towels, linens, toiletries, and breakfast were provided. They also made us room for hanging our clothes to dry after they got wet in the rain. They lent us an umbrella when we forgot to carry our own. And invited us to join with them in their card games and conversations. Aunty has maintained a lovely garden too. It was a treat to stay here. I've travelled to over 60 cities but not seen any warner hospitality than here. The location is close to Ankola bus stand as well as Gokarna.

Negative: There was some confusion about the price of the stay due to booking.com's interface. It wasn't the fault of the owners though.

Positive: The owners of the property were really friendly and they made us feel part of the family. Uncle made the itinerary for the 3 days we stayed and even took us to nearby beaches in the evening. He personally took interest in our trip and even arranged autos for nearby places. The room was clean and all facilities mentioned were available. In the morning we were served local breakfast. Will highly recommend this place and would like to visit again.

Positive: Devanand and Charlini are fantastic hosts. They provide a lovely big breakfast and a clean comfortable room. They went above and beyond to help with our efforts to see the local area and we were made to feel like family during our time with them. The house is located in a charming village and we enjoyed sitting in their peaceful front garden. We'd recommend this homestay to anyone.
