Positive: Animals everywhere and brilliant safari drives with a fantastic guide - Tsholo! Wonderful meals (early morning coffee/muffins, morning game drive hot drinks and biscuits, huge hot and continental breakfast, varied lunches, afternoon tea, sundowners on teh evening game drive, and then back for fun dinners.). Our room was also amazing. our own private verandah where we were visited by a range of animals (behind the fence) including many, many elephants which we could watch from our bed. We also loved the outside showers and made good use of the brilliant spa facilities. The two massage therapists were terrific.
Summary: The safari you dreamed about! Animals everywhere, delicious food, fantastic rooms, and great spa.

Positive: This was our third stay at Tau Lodge, and it was every bit as special and unforgettable as our very first visit. The experience just keeps getting better! A special thank you to our ranger, Herman, who was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge of the bush is incredible, and his perseverance in tracking down unique wildlife sightings made every game drive exciting and memorable. His passion for what he does truly shines through. The food was outstanding—every meal was beautifully prepared and delicious. The attention to detail from all the staff was exceptional, and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Tau Lodge continues to exceed our expectations, and it's a place we always look forward to returning to. We can't wait to be back!
Negative: Nothing
Summary: A Perfect blend of incredible wildlife encounters, warm hospitality, and memories that will last!

Positive: Amazing location overlooking a watering hole, my room had a view of the animals coming in to drink - elephants, zebra, wildebeest, water buck, and many more. My room was comfortable. The food was fantastic and staff super friendly. Herman, our game ranger, is an absolute expert and a fantastic guide. The drive from Pretoria was relaxing, travelling mainly on the N4 and R49.
Negative: The bed was very firm. A mattress topper would solve the problem!
Summary: A hidden gem!

Positive: As we were a group of two couples, we were allocated rooms 1&2 which is a family suite and larger than standard rooms. The decor, bed and amenities were superb. Location of rooms was furthest from restaurant which was good as it was peaceful. Due to heavy rains, not as many animals were at the waterhole, but still saw plenty water buck, impala, a crocodile or two!Food was outstanding. Game drives were unsurpassed and ranger Rose was a delight.
Negative: Nothing. Unfortunately due to exceptionally high rain fall, many roads within park were inaccessible. However, we had fab viewings of lions, elephant and rhino which were the highlight.
Summary: A fabulous experience which I would love to repeat
