Positive: The owner was very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Easy access to shared transportation, however it is better to rent a two wheeler/car if you are staying at the property.

Negative: The process, both the property owner and booking.com charged me with GST twice. I ended up paying twice the GST and there was no support from booking.com. Booking.com did not take any accountability which was disappointing since I have been a user for a long time.

Positive: We are a couple with two kids and stood at Tashling stay for 3 nights. When we reached, we were overwhelmed to see that the host and his family was similar to us. My 10 year old kid enjoyed playing together with the host's kids. We also celebrated the birthday of our daughter together with their family. The time spent together will never be forgotten. My kids are glad to find new friends from a new place. The accommodation is best suitable for a family of 4 and real home like warmth. The host ensures complete security and protection by locking the gates every night. The place was like an extended home for us. I kept my laptop and my kids would keep open bags without any worries and go for site seeing. We had Veg food twice and chicken once. All wonderful. This homestay is a complete package for family or group of four / five. We get complete apartment for the given price with breakfast included.

Negative: only one washroom for all guest would make difficult for some travellers getting ready in time.

Positive: Location was excellent. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Darjeeling city, it was very peaceful. Walking distance to the Batasia Loop, the toy train frequently passed the homestay. The hosts were very cordial, and the food was simple and tasty. Nothing like hot homecooked meals during damp cold rainy days.

Negative: Shared toilet was a bit of a hassle for us as we were 2 families traveling.

Summary: Would highly recommend to all travellers wishing for a quiet peaceful getaway

Positive: We had a wonderful stay! The hosts, both husband and wife, were incredibly hospitable and courteous. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and located in a superb area—perfect for exploring the surroundings. It truly made for a vacation to remember. If you're traveling with family, this is an ideal place to stay. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the optional, chargeable dinner was a delightful homemade treat. Highly recommended!

Positive: とにかくこんな親切な宿泊施設は初めてでした。旅での心のふれあいに満喫しました。 We have visited Tashiling Homestay in April2025, prior to, and after our Himalayas Trekking. We were welcomed by the warmth of Tashi, the house owner, and his very much caring wife and their two adorable children. They are devout Tibetan Buddhist. The floor we were offered to share were literally a whole upstairs with spacious two bedrooms and a wide living room, together with an own bathroom. Everywhere is very clean and pleasantly maintained. And the magnificent view from their terrace must be stressed, in the day, and in the star twinkling nights. And the steam train that runs close by. On the first night, we were offered for a local noodle dished called Thukpa, (with extra payment) cooked by his wife, with the local beer called HIT, both were just great experiences. Tashi and his wife were attending and we had much talk about the regional life and received many advises during the cause of the meal as we ate. To be honest, I am not a great fan of Masala Tea, but here of course, the land of Darjeeling, it seems everyone drink the beautiful black tea this land produces, and the tea drinking seems to be woven into as part of their daily life. Just wonderful fragrance and the color of the tea offers a relaxing moment, at the arrival, as well as when the meal is finished. After our return from the Trekking, again, their warm smiles and hot black tea just smoothed out our fatigues and muscle pains from the ups and down of the mountains. They were so caring and every moment, and absolutely an ideal Homestay experience we had. Darjeeling memories were not only the tea garden visits, UNESCO chow chow train, or the Himalayas Trekking, but all became unforgettable with the heartwarming welcomes and caring given from Tashi and his a family at Tashiling Homestay. I have never given 5 stars, but definitely the most momorable stay I had in my Global stays around the world.

Positive: Amazing host . Superb stay for family. Spacious for children. Friendly, nice and fantastic couple who own the homestay. The homestay is located in between the beauty of hills where the mountain view is clear, shops nearby, taxi available anytime and can see the joy train passing through which adds to the beauty.
