Positive: This was our favorite stay in Iceland. Ulfur and his brother did an amazing job renovating the oldest house in town and making a very stylish 2 bedroom apartment. The city park is right outside the door. The kitchen has everything you need including spices and oil. He provides free soda and snacks and an honor bar for beer and wine. There is an icemaker in one of the drawers. He owns the pizza shop a block away and that is where you pick up the keys and pay at the end of your stay. We made use of the bikes in the shed after inflating tires at the N1 gas station. The public pool is very close and charges about 1,400 isk. Don’t miss going to the fish feast at Tjöruhúsið. Better value at lunch.

Negative: Hard to complain about anything here but it was a little warm the first night. I think there is geothermal floor heating that can’t be adjusted. You need to open the windows and keep them open at night.

Positive: A home most tastefully done with lovely touches throughout. Decorated beautifully and intended to make the guest truly feel at home. With a record player and classic records, pretty yet functional utensils, more than enough towels, a washer, dryer and dishwasher, an espresso maker, a microwave, refrigerator, some Isafjorour specials, and even refreshments like soft drinks, nuts, beer and wine, this one was a true standout. We loved it and wished we had more nights here. This is a historic building, lovingly redone memorializing its history. Gisli is a great host and extremely responsive. Don't miss Tangs!

Positive: What a gem here in Isafjörður. We felt very welcome in this spacious and clean apartment. Everything here is just perfect. Every corner has been decorated with great attention to detail. Someone has really put their heart and soul into this place. The amenities are also unbeatable, and the host was very kind and helpful. We’ll definitely be back and recommend a stay without any limitations.
