Positive: I stayed here solo 6yrs ago, location great, staff lively chatty & friendly helpful with all needed - which is the reason I booked here again with my husband - very quiet, just saw 1 staff member, rooms more tired, aircon wast included just a fan, extra 200thb per night for it, price in my opinion this time round seemed expensive for what you get unfortunately - eateries & bars at the end of the street, be mindful if ypu have an early bus youll probably have to walk approx 2km to bus station as no taxis about & grab doesn't start till after 6am and can be difficult after then too -

Negative: All has been mentioned above

Positive: I accidentally arrived a day late for my booking. (There is no way Booking.com's algorithm should have allowed me two bookings on the same night at two different hotels without at least flagging it). But the Tamarind wasn't full and the staff let me stay. The floating room on the water was great. The seat outside was the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

Negative: The neighbouring bars up at the street seemed to have a lot of prostitution going on. I realise that's common in Thailand. But it was more in your face than elsewhere that I saw.
