Summary: Old time charm with modern convenience. The property is fantastic with beautiful gardens. Service oriented owner . One of a kind if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle but still be close to grocery stores etc. The cottage even has a hot tub. Had breakfast on the sunny front porch. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Summary: This is my second stay at Tairoa Lodge. It is a beautifully restored house with kauri floors and staircase, set in a large garden. Outside, the kauri trees, although young for kauri trees, are magnificent. Linda was an attentive host with a good eye for the details that make your stay memorable. Highly recommended for a taste of historic New Zealand.
