Summary: Not the room we booked. Booked a poolside room with 2 single beds. Instead ended up with a big long walk down this ridiculously long foyer to a room that faced the garden, the pool was not even close to this room. The room had a king bed, so had to walk all the way back to be told that they did not have a room with 2 singles and that we would need to ‘split’ the king in half. Staff member that was on shift was very helpful there though. It just sucks when they can’t get the very basics right and just give you what you have booked and paid for! Meh review…

Summary: I have given a 4-star rating, but if there was a 4.5 it would have been that! Everything was really lovely, the view, the food, the bed was comfortable, the staff were excellent, it was clean.... But, there were a few maintenance issues that should be addressed. The biggest issue is that the light switch in the bathroom is faulty - doesn't stay on unless you wiggle the switch a bit. I'd say either the switch is loose or the wiring is a bit dodgy. Either way, that needs to be fixed. Other more minor issues are: The curtain was hanging off the curtain rail in the bedroom, the shower would not drain properly (we fixed that ourselves by pouring hot water down the drain, but clearly the drain needs a proper clean), the shower rose leaked (I think it's the wrong shower head on the hose), the heat pump/air conditioner did not work in the lounge, it didn't work when turning on at the machine, and there was no remote control. Overall a very enjoyable stay and these issues did not detract from our enjoyment, but they should be addressed.
