Positive: Alexander is a wonderful host and couldn't be more helpful. Taighali is a peaceful, light, warm and airy apartment, equipped with everything you need and beautiful views from every window. The location is exceptional, with a quiet beach a few minutes walk away. Although we drove to walks (a pocket walk book in the apartment was all we needed for a week) there are walks close by which start on the road but you can find tracks into the hills at the road-end. The well-stocked shop is 3 miles away as is the welcoming Aultbea Hotel which serves nice food and great ale. Bridge Cottage Art Cafe at Poolewe is also very friendly and meals and snacks are home-made and delicious.

Positive: The views and location were absolutely stunning. Boom beach was beautiful and very accessible from the end of the garden. A well equipped kitchen- we do love cooking- and the nearby Aultbea Stores had everything you would need. A lovely open-plan living space and views we could not stop looking at. We came for Christmas and New Year to get away from it all and it was the perfect location to do this. Alexander the host was a lovely man and was there when we needed anything but also left us to ourselves. Would absolutely recommend this property and we will definitely book again.

Negative: We cannot fault it.

Summary: Simply -the most relaxing break we have ever had.

Positive: We absolutely loved this apartment, it’s very spacious with breathtaking views! Just like a home from home with little touches! Milk in the fridge with cakes, pancakes, tea coffee and sugar awaiting our arrival. Lovely comfy bed, great location, very friendly host. Nearest pub is a 5 min drive or 1 hour walk. Very friendly locals, great wildlife. (Take binoculars!) A local fisherman delivered freshly caught lobster and langoustines, these were delicious and an absolute bargain price! £20 lobster and just over a £1 per langoustine!

Negative: The shower pressure is very low. Would have liked a dressing table with stool and lamp.

Positive: 2 minutes walk from the beach, night stars and aurora through camera, lovely owner, parking right outside, very quiet and peaceful, cooker, microwave etc all great, very clean and very comfortable sofa. Easy to find on map. I did some work and WiFi was great with video calls etc.
