Negative: Winter duvets in summer is crazy hot, especially this year. Cardiff seagulls are noisy buggers, especially on bin day when we were there.

Positive: Spotless house with lovely rooms, comfortable beds and everything you need - from a welcome basket of goodies to desk fans (we stayed during a heatwave). Nice little rear yard with table and chairs for eating out.

Negative: No issues really. The hosts were correct that sometimes parking is difficult. We had to park several streets away on the first night. But on the second day there were plenty of spaces so I believe we were just unlucky to arrive on a day when there was an event on locally. The house is very close to the city centre, stadium etc, in a high density multicultural area with loads of lovely food outlets but not for the closed-minded.

Summary: Beautiful traditional terraced house in immaculate condition. Walking distance from city centre.

Positive: Taffs Mead House is deceptively good. An externally unassuming gorgeous Victorian terrace with thick walls and high ceilings located on a quiet cul-de-sac. The hosts were great, the house was lovely. There's a Tesco Express two minutes away. Cardiff centre (Station / Stadium) is about 15 minutes walk along the river. Six of us stayed for a weekend. We'd love to stay again.

Positive: The property was very modern, clean and finished to a high standard. The bathroom was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen very well equipped indeed with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and oven/grill, all being very new and modern goods. We loved the welcome pack of wine, crisps and milk. We were a group of 4 there for the half marathon and had two cars. We found car parking spaces outside the property, having pre-registered our registrations with the hosts. It was about a 15 minute walk to the city centre.

Negative: The area was a bit tired, but the house was a little haven. We felt very safe and wouldn’t hesitate staying there again.

Summary: Great property finished to a high standard, very convenient to the city centre.
