Positive: Wonderful warm welcome from the hosts, fresh and delicious scones provided as part of the welcome pack were much appreciated. Clean, very comfortable bed, and nicely laid out cottage, made for a wonderful week's holiday. Peaceful location with visiting red squirrel, makes it an ideal retreat for those who enjoy the great outdoors.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow Lodge, Jean and Steve were very welcoming when we arrived, they showed us around the property and gave us great local knowledge on what we can see and do. There was also lots of leaflets and info inside the property. Swallow lodge was very comfortable and had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. We were lucky enough to see a red squirrel, an owl, bats, a wood pecker and many other birds all from the property grounds. We did lots of amazing walks in Galloway Forest all within an hours drive from the property with many more closer by that we didn't have time to do. We would love to come back again!

Positive: Attention to detail and absolutely everything catered for and thought about. Great location with abundance of wildlife on the doorstep. Great friendly hosts. 10/10.
