Our "beach house" is a 2-bedroom cozy cottage, charmingly decorated "retro" 60's! It accommodates 6 people and is conveniently located just 8 miles from Marquette! The beach house has a master bedroom with 1 full bed, dresser & closet; the second bedroom has 1 full bed, a set of single bunkbeds, two dressers & a closet. The living room is quite large, a panoramic lake view can be seen from the picture window. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove & oven, microwave, coffeemaker, cookware & dishes. Linens and towels are also included. A Finnish sauna & shower is located a few steps from the main house in an adjacent building.
Enjoy walking the endless sand beaches, swimming in the refreshing Lake Superior surf or viewing the Marquette skyline across Lake Superior. Bring your own kayak and launch right off the beach! Fisherman will find endless choices in the Marquette area for guided BIG lake, stream and inland waters. If you like biking, paved trails are safely accessible without driving, and mountain bikers will find world class trails just minutes away. Hiking, golf and fine dining are all just minutes away, but be sure to leave time to pick a few wild blueberries or, in the evenings, roast marshmallows over a beach fire! Games, puzzles, books, memorabilia & photos are also available for your enjoyment!

Summary: My family has been spending a week on the beach in the UP every summer for many years. We have stayed in a variety of properties and this cottage has exceeded all of them. The house has just what a small family needs to be comfortable. It's charmingly "vintage" but clean. The location is excellent. Close to the amenities in Marquette and other area attractions but also right on one of the most beautiful beaches around. The owner is great and quick to respond to communication. My entire family agrees that this place is simply perfect. Thanks, Sue, for sharing it with us!

Summary: What more can I say other than it’s on a sandy beach, 8 miles to Marquette, and centrally located between many waterfalls, state parks and museums.

Summary: Honestly, this property is in my top 10 All-time favorites. If you’re looking for that up north woods, socially unencumbered and disconnected vibe, then you’ll definitely want to set your sites on a stay. Sue’s Superior Beach House, while not elegant in a modern technological way, still managed to represent everything a home should be. This place screams family! You can’t help but feel the love emanating from the walls her father erected in 1965 for his family. As you sit on the front deck in a pair of weathered rocking chairs trying to make sense of the beauty of Lake Superior, you can’t help but imagine the memories of past, present and future times this house has seen unfolded with in it’s walls. Sue, what a great property. For everything this home may not be for some. It was everything to myself and Sawyer!

Summary: The location was great. A new couch, or even a new slip cover would be nice. I didn't want to sit on the couch unless I covered it with a towel. Remind the cleaner to get the sand off the couch between renters. Maybe a rug that actually fits the living room would be nice. Bedding from the 50's could use an update- none of these things would be too difficult or expensive and could really elevate the interior look.

Summary: What more can I say it’s on the beach!!!! We had many walks up and down the beach enjoying the waves (all sand) We forgot our chairs but there were chairs already down on the beach so coffee in the morning was enjoyable. Beach house is right on a paved road and is about 10 minutes from Marquette. We had good cell service for both us cellular and Verizon. Beds were comfortable and it felt like home we will be coming back next year so sure
