Craigton Smiddy is a tradionally built, single storey cottage - fully updated to provide spacious luxury accommodation for 6 people in comfort. The accommodation comprises 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have superkingsize beds and one bedroom has a kingsize bed. The 2 superkingsize bedrooms can be reconfigured as twin rooms with large single beds.
The accommodation includes a fully-fitted, modern kitchen fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you will need for your stay, an open plan large livingroom with woodburning stove and large flat-screen tv, and a large conservatory/ dining room complete with dining table and comfortable sofas to relax in.
There is free wi-fi throughout the cottage and each bedroom has its own flat-screen tv complete with Netflix.
Outside Craigton Smiddy is a seating area with comfortable garden furniture, a barbecue and a large garden. A charming burn (stream) runs the length of the garden and passes under the cottage living room - this is stunning to view from inside the cottage.

Summary: The Smiddy Cottage was amazing. We stayed there 10 days and it was wonderful! The home was decked out with everything and more. David was a gracious host and met us at check in. He even provided the food necessities, eggs, milk etc. so we did not need to rush to a store. We were a short walk from Luss Village which is so charming. We took the boat tour from there and it was lovely. The Arms Pub was delicious as was the Village Rest. We drove to Helensburg several days and enjoyed walking around this historic town. We also enjoyed the Cameron Hotel bar and restaurant plus the Duck Bay Restaurant. The stream running under the house was an added treat. Lots of birds, bunnies, and even a Penweasle lives back in the forest. All in all it was a wonderful holiday. Thank you David for providing this true holiday treasure!

Summary: Craigton Smiddy is a lovely and well appointed cottage in Luss on Loch Lomond. David, our host, was so responsive and yet not intrusive from the time of booking to the checkout. The cottage was comfortable and perfect for our group of 3 adults and two boys, 9 and 10. We enjoyed traveling to points near and far on day trips as well as enjoying the lovely village of Luss. I would highly recommend this property and location! Thank you, David!

Summary: The property is wonderful. I was a little bit hesitant because of the price when I booked but the location, the view from the picture window, the little stream that runs under the house, the beautiful sunroom, and the warm welcome caused me to not regret spending a little more on this vacation than I would have originally planned. There is a bit of wear and tear to the property that I would hope they're going to address over time but nothing glaring that makes me feel like I didn't get what I paid for. Watching the creek, birds, and deer from the living room window was worth the price alone. Fantastic if you just want a slow, simple, down to earth, relaxing getaway.

Summary: It has a stream running under the home that you can see from the picture window of thr back yard. The owner has litteraly thought of everything. He had eggs, bread, tea, milk and verious items waiting for us. He had the wood stove fireplace ready for a nice evening fire. All this on the banks of Loc Lomond. The setting is within walking distance of so many fun things to do. The home is decorated beautifully. We will be renting again.

Summary: David was very communicative and met us in person to walk us through the house and show us how everything worked. The village is a quick walk away and there are a couple of restaurants, a coffee shop, and a gift shop. We drove to the grocery store in Bulloch for staples. We loved the house and would highly recommend! We would definitely book again if we visit Scotland again. Robin

Summary: My young family had a fantastic stay at David’s property in Luss. It was a beautiful and charming house as advertised and just outside the village within easy walking distance, which was ideal. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer but we would for sure come back again and likely do so in the coming years.
