Chalet Lampisterie is a beautiful converted, former railway building, where the chugging trains oil lamps were prepared during the golden age of steam. The ‘shed’ has since been extended and renovated to a high modern standard. It is situated in the beautiful rural village of Le Buet and modern electric trains have now replaced the old steam ones, easily linking guests to all the main ski areas of the valley: Chamonix, Argentiere,Le Tour, Le Buet and Vallorcine.
This charming and cosy family home renovation provides accommodation for up to 6 people (but a maximum of 4 adults). Chalet Lampisterie is perfect for a small group of friends, 2 couples or a family of 2 adults with up to 4 children.
There is easy connectivity to all the ski areas via the train and the local ski school is a short walk away in the middle of Le Buet village making this a perfect chalet for the ‘younger learners’.
Pets: We can only accept 1 small, well-behaved house trained dog. Dogs should be kept off furniture and prevented from entering bedrooms. All dog litter must be picked up from garden and areas surrounding the chalet. Please always let us know breed, size and age of your pet. Puppies and large dogs are not permitted.
There are 2 bedrooms, including a romantic master bedroom with high ceilings. Summary: It's a cosy chalet for a very nice holiday. The guys from mountain people were very helpful and ready to help us with everything... from extra firewood to extend our stay. Everything went smooth. The apartment fulfilled our needs. It's next to the tracks, but because the train being electrical you don't really hear it. It's above all convenient to have it nearby. We will probably come back!

Summary: Sebastian ensured that all the booking and pre visit arrangements were very straightforward, clear and professional. The chalet was, as we were expecting (the pictures of it are representative of what to expect), it was beautifully furnished and all that you may need has been provided. Having said how nice the chalet was the aspect we loved the most was it's location which is magical.

Summary: Highly recommend this fantastic chalet which has been recently re-designed to a high standard. Coming from Geneva airport, it’s an easy 1.5 hour drive, mostly on the motorway then around 30 mins on beautiful mountain roads until you reach Le Buet. The house is super cosy and modern at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped and the open plan living space is great for enjoying dinner, games and cosying by the fire. Access to Argentiere and Chamonix was really easy by car and train. There was a really handy beginner area nearby for beginners. It was great to come back here every day after skiing - so much so that the kids didn’t want to go anywhere!
