Summary: We've had a very nice stay at this place with our family - it is surrounded by very beautiful nature and the place itself is welcoming and inviting to have a relaxing time in quite.

Summary: We had a lovely stay. The house is in out opinion not suitable for 4 adult couples ( 2 bedrooms and 2 double beds in the area upstairs in front of one of the bedrooms) but it was perfect for our family. Philippe is a very helpful and friendly host. Everything you need is in the house available. The area is great for walks, and there are shops and restaurants in villages nearby.

Summary: Regarding the location, layout and amenities, the description of the property was just as described and we more or less recognized it as soon as we drove out of the woods upon our arrival. It was very clean and well maintained. What stands above all though was the customer service provided by the persons involved. This was extraordinary! Welcome service by the entire crew as well as the introduction didn't lack anything. And when we found out that the hot tub had a minor malfunction (due to a thunderstorm during the week ahead, they were there in less than half an hour to fix it...with professional help of an electrician (on a Sunday!), to mention only one example. Superb support overall without being obtrusive but there if you need it. And by the way, during the one day of failure we were offered to use the hot tub next door, another rental of the owner, which we enjoyed just as much. We hiked every day (between one and three hours, just as long as the children would barely accept it (motivation was easy with a whirlpool waiting for them at home)) and found beautiful trails all very close to the house (many of them passing / starting in front of the door). One day we went lake swimming (35 minutes away) and one rainy day we spent in beautiful Strasbourg (45 min). We recommend this house and its staff unconditionally to everyone! Thank you very much. PS: A thank you also goes out two the two honest boys who found my wallet and iphone at the little (brand new in 2014!) soccer/basketball court (which is just steps away). We're pretty sure that at most other places those would've been gone forever. We got to love Erckartswiller and its inhabitants (at least those we got to know) during our week there in late August 2014...
