Positive: We extended our stay at the Sunview and stayed another 3 days . You can read the review of our first stay which is more about the place and staff . We used these extra days for more snorkling. We took a paid boat trip ( 35 usd pp) , just us . loved the fact that as soon as we dropped into the water , within 2 minutes we saw 3 Eagle Rays , beneath us . Then led by the great guide we moved across the reef and saw another beautiful Eagle Ray slowly swimming twoards us , so graceful . That is 4 of these amazing creatures in less than 10 mins, amazing . Then we saw a nice turtle and 10 minutues later we ended up in the biggest thickest school of fish we have ever seen. I am an experienced diver and what we saw in the hour we on the reef was excellent , Ive often not seen more diving in the best spots in the Maldives !
Negative: I am not sure, although we saw a lot that we were actually in the best place to see both live Coral , moe of which must exist there, and sea life , epsecially grey reef sharks , which Kaashidhoo is known for. I believe we were too near the harbour entrance which we understand ( the reef there ) was blown up using explosives to make the channel into the harbour , consequently the reef there is not so alive . We woiuld of liked to have time to explore around all the extensive reef that the isand has , I feel positive on the other side of the island the reef will be in a much better conditon . There is a dive and snorkel spot apparantly known as 'Kaashidhoo corner 'which has a lot of big fish , rays and high shark sightings too, sadly we didnt get to see it this time.

Positive: We travelled around 5 islands on this holiday and we came to Sunview on Kaashidhoo because of the claim by others who had visited that it was something different , the Island and the vibe , to the other more developed tourist island . We particularly came to explore the reef and the snorkelling , which we had heard was excellent and the big fish / ray / sharks which could be seen close to the island on the outer reef. This is what we found ......Staff and People on the island.. All the staff were very kind indeed and people did , as was said in other reviews, stop and talked with us , it was the only island we visited where whereever we went we felt very welcomed and it was a special experience. The Sunview Residence......We gave it 10 / 10 because it did live up to expectations, there is no hype, its simple and it is excellent value for money . The owner is very enthusastic and he is so committed to his project / business . He pesonally took us to the speedboat when we left and waited until it departed. Having said that not everything was right about the accommodation and there are things / details to work on, but for value, it is unbeatable . Perhaps wed liked to have paid a bit more and had those details better , but all put into the experince this stay was still a 10 / 10 because of its genuine authentic individuality and passion from the owner will no doubt surely make it better and better as time goes on. We booked for one night and actually stayed 4 . The restaurant cook a wide variety of main dishes , it is simple , however , it is again exteremley good value for money and after a few days they adjusted the menu to some of our requests, always with a smile . The guys in the kitchen are really very kind. Dont expect haute cuisine and you wont be disapppointed. The Snorkelling - we only had a limited time to do this and we must go back.
Negative: We didnt like the first room we had , it was with no windows that could open and dark on the ground floor , but as soon as they could they moved us. We would of liked to have made more snorkle trips for longer to explore the outside of the reef. we think it is in an untouched area and as such this the reef has a lot of unexplored potential which we didnt get to see.
Summary: Definately worth the visit and want to go back !

Positive: - The staff is very friendly, warm and welcoming. They picked me up at the boat arrival and they were ready to answer any question with a smile. It felt like coming to a homestay instead of a hotel. - They offered a free tour of the island which I enjoyed a lot. - The owner is very responsive and communicative through message and answered all of my questions even before I arrived. - The top floor restaurant is also open to locals, which makes it all a much more genuine experience. - The room was very spacious and clean, with AC, fan and good curtains. The bed is comfortable. Plenty of towels are provided. - The island is amazing and very local still. Most of the locals are very friendly when you meet them, saying hello and even starting a conversation. - The hotel made a nice bikini beach for the tourist, but also the local beach is really nice to discover. - It was so nice I ended up staying one day longer than planned.
Negative: - The restaurant offers quite a lot of fast foods. The food is good, but I missed a bit more veggies.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by vivid greenery and warm-hearted people. The island itself is a lush paradise. Coconut palms sway above winding sandy paths, while banana trees, papayas, and all kinds of tropical plants grow abundantly everywhere you look. It truly feels like a living, breathing jungle — not curated or tamed, but vibrant and real. The natural beauty of Kaashidhoo is something we will never forget. But what truly made our stay remarkable was the people. The locals of Kaashidhoo were incredibly kind and respectful, always greeting us with a smile and a friendly "hello." We felt genuinely welcomed, not as tourists passing through, but as guests in a community that still values connection. They offered us help without hesitation, including free rides to and from the beach whenever we needed — simple gestures that made a big difference in how at home we felt. Our accommodation was perfectly located just a few steps from the jetty, which made arrival and departure incredibly convenient. The hosts had already arranged our speedboat transfer from Malé for $35 per person (about 1.5 hours), and they met us at the jetty with a buggy to take us and our bags to the hotel. That small ride set the tone for the rest of our stay: thoughtful, kind, and welcoming. The room was bright, clean, and thoughtfully decorated — a warm and comfortable space that exceeded expectations. We especially appreciated the smart TV and strong, reliable Wi-Fi, which worked flawlessly during our entire stay. There was even good 5G mobile coverage on the island, making Kaashidhoo not just a serene escape, but a hidden gem for digital nomads as well.
Negative: Negative comments? Honestly, I looked for flaws - even under the bed - found none. If perfection had a guesthouse, it would be this one.

Positive: Kaashidhoo island is amazing! It is full of trees: coconut, banana, papaya and many more. Is a real jungle on this beautiful island and we liked that! People are nice and friendly, they are very polite, saying "hi" every time and we felt like respected guests on their island. Bikini beach is nice, well-maintained and the water is amazing, we felt that we are in the real Maldives even on a local agricultural island! As we travel only with our backpacks, a big plus was that we had access to the washing machine! They booked speedboat tickets for us ($35 pp and travel time approx. 1.5 hrs) and waited us at the jetty with a buggy and drove us to the hotel, which is nearby. The room was nicely decorated for us and we felt like in a fancy resort! We also received coconut welcome drinks and fruits and we were offered an island tour! They delivered us lunch and cold drinks to the bikini beach, even on the rainy days! The room is clean and they also provided us free beach towels! Every evening, we took dinner on their restaurant and the food is varied and good with some international dishes, like pizza, burgers and pasta! There are a lot of shops nearby where you can find literally everything! On request, they cleaned the room during our stay! The restaurant staff was nice and polite every time, with a plus for our delivery guy, who was very friendly and smiling even when he delivered food to the beach during a tropical rain! We appreciate that for our last dinner on this island, they waited us at the restaurant with a nicely decorated table with natural flowers and the chef cooked for us a local traditional fish. Overall, the price quality ratio is really good!

Positive: Clean and spacious hotel, the room was big and spacious so is the bathroom. There is a restaurant on the rooftop, basic but tasty food. The staff is very nice, helpful and friendly.

Positive: If you’re reading this review and thinking if you should come than the answer is yes this is hands down the best island in Maldives and one of the biggest The island is much cheaper than most local island and everyone is so nice you get bicycles and snorkeling gear for free if you stay here and there’s so much to do dolphins diving fishing and much more the beach itself is massive and the restaurant serve amazing food would definitely come back again
