Positive: The hosts were exceptional. They were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful and kind. 😃

Negative: There wasn’t a central dining table to play cards or sit around to chat and snack. The house is a bit crowded with furniture and knick knacks.

Positive: Marsha and Mike are delightful hosts who added local knowledge, friendliness and true hospitality to our stay in Seward. The bedroom and bathroom provided were spotless and very comfortable. The location was great, within a few minutes walk from the regular and convenient Seward free shuttle that we caught from the train station. However, the outstanding feature of our stay was the masterfully cooked breakfasts that featured local produce lovingly prepared and served with a detail to attention not often found anymore. If you have the opportunity to stay at Sunshine House, as an overseas visitor looking to experience Alaskan hospitality, take it. Thank you Marsha and Mike for significantly complimenting the natural Alaskan beauty and wonder that surrounds Seward.

Positive: This is a unique place run by unique people. I recommend them to anyone planning a visit to Seward! The location is perfect. The room conditions were great - cozy, clean. The biggest advantage of this place are the hosts - Marsha & Mike. They create a very friendly, even homely atmosphere. They adapt to guests' plans, provide information and help in organizing recreation and attractions in the area. And the breakfasts they serve are as delicious as the discussions with them :) And they have the most adorable dog in the world!
