Positive: The location is perfect to visit Giza, Saqqara & Abusir Pyramids, amongst other tourist attractions. The view of Abusir Pyramids are gorgeous. The host (Whom is also an archeologist) and staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Anything you may need they will gladly help you. The grounds and guesthouses are well maintained and clean. I highly recommend Sunset Guesthouse. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! ! I will be back in a few months :)

Positive: The hotel is located at 10th flor so the window view was splendid. Hotel is located in the centre of Old Cairo, close to subway station and main streets. Room was sapcious and well equipped.

Positive: The hotel is beautifully located right beside the stunning Abusir pyramid complex. The hotel owner couldn't be more helpful and kind. I was lucky enough to stay during Ramadan and got treated to delicious home-cooked meals. If you really, really want to see Egypt's ancient sites that can be hard to reach and are off the beaten track, this is the place to stay. The owner will be able to arrange drivers and all other logistics for a very reasonable price. I had an awesome trip with unforgettable experiences. I will be back as soon as I can.

Positive: The owner tries to be helpful, but it's a double edged sword. Flexibility in check-in/out and room selection is good, but the place has an amateur feel and a bit made up as you go along. Same with transfers and dinner, helpful but also priced knowing there is nothing else around, coupled with a misunderstanding/miscommunication. Rooftop pyramid views are good. Perhaps would be better for a big group 6+

Negative: There is nothing in the local area and as the Saqqara area is quite spread out, I would stay in Cairo/Giza, and make a day trip to the area rather than trying to stay locally, unless you like street food.
