Positive: Everything about this place is amazing. The space is clean & well maintained. There’s everything you need. Loved the bathroom so spacious & clean. The deck is simply amazing. But the best part about the place are the hosts. Uncle & Auntie Patricia are amazing people. They gave us fresh tropical fruit from their garden everyday. Their dogs Max, Lucky & Oscar are such sweethearts, especially Max. Uncle also gave us fresh Tuna & a bottle of wine for my husband’s birthday. They are such caring & good people. The place is perfect for a couple or small family. Sunsets on the deck are amazing. There’s a grocery store & takeaway 2 mins away & many amazing restaurants nearby. Thank you for making our vacation truly special.

Negative: Not a con but the road leading up-to the house can feel a bit scary uphill at first, but once you drive around a bit you’ll realise all of Mahe is similar terrain everywhere so don’t be afraid. You’ll get used to it in a couple of drives.

Positive: Patricia & Guy are so great and such lovely people. They actually provide almost a hotel-service as the apartment gets cleaned on a daily basis, we got fresh fruits (lots!) from the garden every day and they even provided dinner every few nights, and it were fantastic fish meals! Plus we loved the three dogs and two turtles! Apart from those additional things it is an amazing apartment with a beautiful view in a great location. We love Glacis as it is quiet but close to nice beaches and great restaurants. To sum it up: the best private accomodation we ever had also as it is fantastic value for rather little money!

Negative: We honestly have absolutely nothing to complain about. However, you 100% need a rental car as it is high up the hill.

Positive: Best rental I have even seen. Beatiful place, wonderful view, friendly dogs and especially the incredible hosts, who live in the house upstairs! Every morning we got different tropical fruit, we were also treated to fresh fish, tuna steaks and freshly caught grouper! We were treated like family, any tiniest issue was immediately managed. I do not think I will ever find a similar experience, this place is in a league of its own! 11 out of 10!

Positive: Why stay at a 5 star hotel when you can stay at sunset bay apartments? We had a lovely stay there! The apartment is spacious and beautiful! Its deck/ balcony is so amazing, we loved spending some days there enjoying the view of the ocean and Beau Vallon! Even though the hosts live in the apartment above, we had full privacy. Guy and Patricia are amazing hosts! We had fresh fruits from their garden daily! In addition to the eggs we found in our fridge, Guy also surprised us with fresh tuna fish! Their hospitality was beyond our expectations!

Positive: Everything. During my life, I have visited over 55 countries and stayed at hundreds of hotels and other lodging facilities, including some rated 4 and 5 stars. However, I have never ever enjoyed a stay as much as I did at the Sunset Bay Apartment. The reasons are multiple: the view, the location, the coziness, the comfort, and the dogs (I already miss them). But above all, these are the most wonderful hosts, Guy and Patricia. They are among the nicest and kindest people I have ever met in my life. They certainly know what's best for their guests and make your stay feel like home. I will definitely be back as soon as I can. Thanks, Guy and Patricia.
