Summary: Property is advertised as "environmentally friendly" and featuring "Chic Hamptons style decor", neither of these descriptions is accurate. While very clean and in a very convenient location, the house is very dated. The upstairs bathroom features a whirlpool tub (the only tub in the house) that has been painted and has a faucet that was repaired with duct tape. When I tried to use the tub to bathe my children, the paint started to peel off into the water. The house is modestly decorated and furnished with a mix of IKEA furniture and garage sale finds that have been "creatively" repurposed. For example, the house does not have a dining table, instead a small, round glass coffee table has been placed in the kitchen with two dining chairs. It does have a small counter with three stools. The owner was very responsive, but oddly refused to provide the address of the house until one week before arrival. I found it a little disconcerting that they would not let us know the exact address for a house that I planned to stay in with my small children. I ended up having to call VRBO customer service to get the address in advance. We rented in the winter, so I am sure some of this would be overlooked if you were spending most of your time out of the house or in the backyard that features a large swimming pool.
