Positive: Cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable with great facilities. Parking was hit and miss but there was free parking in a local car park a few minutes walk away. Good base to explore the local area and.dog walk at bottom of street along Public footpath, providing close encounters with local bovine residents and a stream running down the side. Everything you could hope for provided for a pleasant stay.

Positive: Sunnyside is a very comfortable cottage, perfect for our family with 2 teenage girls who could have their own rooms. Colyton is an interesting village with shops and pubs nearby (a few minutes walk).

Negative: Not a problem as such but if you arrive at a holiday cottage expecting to find a bookcase, board games, local maps etc to use you'll be disappointed as Sunnyside is sparse in that respect. Also not recommended for anyone with mobility issues (there are steps up to front door) or who needs to park close to the property. The road is narrow with no parking space, but we were able to park down the road for loading/unloading. You can park in the village public car park for free by informing Lyme Bay Holiday Cottages of your car reg. number and you'll be registered electronically for free parking for your stay. The car park is five minutes walk from the cottage, and may be full if you return later in the evening.

Summary: Comfortable cottage in a lovely area, highly recommended.

Positive: The house was extremely well presented, everything we needed available, totally well organised. Very quiet location with shop nearby for newspapers and breakfast. Brilliant spot for a holiday, in a quiet village but also just a handful of miles from the sea. Really welcoming with tea, milk, biscuits and goodies provided by owners, thank you v v much!

Negative: Thinner quilts would have been desirable.
