Summary: My spouse, her brother, and I stayed at Balsam for three nights, and we enjoyed it immensely. The property was accurately described, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked really well. The wi-fi was pretty fast, which was an improvement over many other properties at which we stayed. The A/C is a ductless heat pump that kept the main living area very comfortable in 100 degree heat. We set up the fan that was provided to blow cool air into the bedroom furthest away, and it worked well. The main bathroom was pretty awesome, with both a soaking tub and a shower. The kitchen was well-supplied with cookware. We appreciated the easy access to a walking trail that allowed us to get to downtown Winthrop in about 15 minutes, and to get to the Thriftway in about 10 minutes (and I'm a slow walker). We've stayed in Winthrop several times, and I think that this is the nicest place in which we've stayed. I would recommend it.
