2 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Okupu, Blind Bay

Dome Cabin is sunny and private with 2 bedrooms ,24 volt solar lighting and an outside deck with furniture.
The power system is solar,also 240AC for charging Phones etc, there is also plenty of nice spring drinking water. ( Absolutely NO hairdryers or appliances as power system won’t handle them)
The bathroom is separate ablution area with guests own toilet & shower / shared laundry and seperate shared kitchen and dining area with covered outdoor deck, BBQ and furniture. ( with Garden Cabin)
All is situated very close by with a nice lawn for extra camping. ( please enquire)
Extra people after first 2 are $35 per night
Camping allowed$20 per person a night
Extras: Linen (Optional, NZ $30 per person); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

Also on Grt Barrier Island we have a total fire ban during Summer &Autumn so absolutely NO outdoor fire’s allowed and even the only with a permit!

Summary: My family and I very much enjoyed our few days staying in the Dome cabin at Nikki's place. The rooms were exactly as advertised, clean comfortable and an awesome location. Nikki was super helpful and patient for us and made our stay exactly what we wanted. This is a perfect place to spend relaxing days and re-connect with your family; and we would love to come back next year and spend a longer time here and explore the rest of the island.

Summary: Amazing location with plenty of extras. Overall very basic but that’s Great Barrier with no power grid the Sunbeam Sanctuary has solar and hydro systems. Plenty of space for kids to run around and the host let us rent the truck for the week with easy access to beaches and airport. We’ll be back!

Summary: We had the best experience, actually my birthday was wet however we managed to have a relaxing time. The service was very pleasant Nicki was so amazing to deal with, and Im so glad to have connected with her and enjoy such a sanctuary. Very impressed she even shared some organic veges from her garden and was so kind and generous! Absolute Sweetheart x

Summary: It’s slightly more rustic than what the photos may imply, and the 2 rooms were really one room with a partition - but it was clean, warm, and everything worked. Communication was great although there’s not great reception on the property haha. Cheers
