Positive: Excellent location, literally a stone's throw from the Great Tapestry of Scotland. Bars, supermarkets (Iceland, huge Tesco, M & S foodhall, Asda) all within walking distance. And despite being situated in the centre of town it was suprisingly peaceful. Bedrooms very spacious and beds very comfortable.

Negative: Oh that entry stairwell - grim, to say the least! Also, it wasn't made clear when booking that the flat is on the 3rd floor - one of our party had to cancel because of this. The flat will sleep 8 people, and 8 could indeed sleep there, but day-to-day living would be tricky as there is no sitting room, just a 'seating area' which is a sofa on a raised platform at one end of the kitchen, and only one bathroom - we 4 managed, but how would 8 people cope? (Perhaps an en-suite in one of the bedrooms?) The kitchen wasn't particularly well-equipped, and again wouldn't provide for 8 guests - the only saucepan large enough for a crowd doesn't work on the induction hob! A toaster would be helpful too.

Negative: The hall way and stairs area are very grotty and not very inviting.

Positive: Loved the location of the property and how well decorated the place was, as well as how comfy the beds were to stay in.

Negative: Bathroom door didn’t lock and two of the handles fell off in the bedrooms (didn’t affect the use of the door though!). Could also benefit from a brighter light in the staircase to get up and down the stairs at night.

Positive: Newly decorated, clean and fresh. Comfy beds. Good size bedrooms and kitchen. Communication from the owners was clear and well timed for entry instructions etc. Good location with a short walk to many shops cafes and restaurants.

Negative: Entrance stairwell was a shock but in no way reflective of the lovely flat. Bathroom lock did not work - needs attention. Insufficient seating especially if 8 is the capacity.
