The ground floor gite (100m2) has two bedrooms: one (20m2) with a king-size bed and the other one (15m2) two single beds. It also has a walk-in wet room shower ideal for those who find standard showers difficult to access and has the space for a wheelchair or shower seat. It has an open-plan living/dining room and kitchen (42m2) with dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven.
There is a TV (with English and French channels), and a DVD player. There is also a wood burner for the slightly colder evenings.
The gites are set in a traditional Charentise courtyard and are barns lovingly renovated to provide comfortable modern accommodation whilst still retaining many of the original features. Thus providing a great base to relax and from which to explore this beautiful region and the varied attractions of the Charente-Maritime and Charente. Close to the beautiful historic towns of Cognac, Saintes and St Jean D’Angley but also within easy reach of the lovely beaches of Royan, La Rochelle and the Cote Sauvage.

Summary: The host is very nice and helpfull. Their thouthers were nice playmates for our baby :) The house is beautiful renovated and with a nice spaceaous garden and pool. If you look for relaxation this is your place.

Summary: Beautiful property set in idyllic location, can’t recommend this property enough. If you want to relax and do nothing or get out and about exploring France it’s great.. Gite was excellent, spotlessly clean and everything we needed. Pool and garden areas very well looked after. Kelly and Ian were great hosts, around when needed, would most definitely recommend and will be returning again.

Summary: Had a lovely week long stay in this beautiful gîte, perfectly suited for wheelchair/scooter users too. Plenty of room to move about. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Kelly , Ian and the family were all very welcoming and friendly, helping out with places to eat etc. Quiet and peaceful with plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding area or just relax in the sun by the lovely pool. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Summary: Very warm welcome at arrival. Very clean and cosy and completely equiped flat in a well maintained house on the country site. Not long drive to the sea, but the own salt water pool in the lovely environment within a giant garden provides total tranquility already. We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next one.

Summary: We had a lovely week in this beautiful location & well kept gite. Very peaceful village in a great location with lots of things to do in the surrounding area. We had lots of trips to the beaches, which are beautiful. Property was great for us with our 1 year old with very well equipped property , we particularly loved the personal touches of age appropriate toys along with the trampoline and climbing frame. Wonderful pool & toys too. Fantastic holiday - thanks!

Summary: Fabulously friendly hosts, beautiful property. Everything parents of a 5 year old could possibly want. Good base for exploring cognac. A beautiful part of France. Kelly and Ian were very welcoming, and had loads of very useful suggestions of where to go. The gite was spacious, well equipped, clean and well maintained.

Summary: We enjoyed a lovely week. Cognac, the beach at Royan and La Rochelle were or favourite days out. The pool and gardens were brilliant with plenty of space to have fun and there was lovely walking around the vineyards from the gite. We will definitely be coming again.
