A beautiful beautiful country estate comprising a large Gothic style house (5000 sq ft) with a commanding hill top setting (views 360) degrees). Set in 5 acres of park like grounds and a further 15 acres of paddocks and is approached by a 1 km private driveway and all one hour from London by either train or car (15 mins from junction 9 of M25). A fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion or hold a private business meeting.
A superb reception hall leads onto a large contemporary living room and a dining room with comfortable seating for 12, a well equipped kitchen and a sunny breakfast room. There is a 900 sq ft dance studio with mirrors, laser and disco lights, sound system and 9 ft cinema screen.
Within the grounds is a beautiful large York Stone south facing terrace with gorgeous views leading onto a stunning (50 ft long) swimming pool Enjoy a hot tub with LED lights and waterfall overlooking fabulous views and a new Finnish pine sauna/steam room (an Isauna!) with soothing fibre optic lights.

Summary: I organised a team building getaway, and this place was absolutely ideal. The disco room was a particular hit with everyone - as was the hot tub! The large dining table seated everyone, and the log fire was absolutely beautiful. Beds were very comfy, and kitchen was really well equipped. It was great being in the countryside but not too far out of London. The whole group loved it and would love to stay again!

Summary: I booked a break over the August Bank holiday weekend on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had stayed at Great Oak Park last year and raved about it. The house is phenomenal! My family and I were absolutely thrilled with our choice, from the wow factor upon arrival to the amazing pool (we had several wonderful BBQs). The party room with its incredible lighting system and cinema was terrific fun (there’s even a fancy dress box). We spent hours messing around on the tennis court and never ran out of entertainment. Will definitely be booking again.

Summary: From the moment we arrived the owners made us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was sumptuous, relaxing and fun. The house is beautifully equipped for all your needs and Is a dream to stay in. So much to do and many walks to take. Families are catered for so well with many kind finishing touches. We will be back, for sure.

Summary: I have just stayed at Great Oak Park for the second time. I have visited the house before for a family celebration but this time I booked the property for a two night management conference. It is the perfect venue for gathering senior management together and giving them the opportunity to get to know each other and think uninterrupted by every day office life. There are plenty of large, light rooms for meetings including the wonderful party room with its projector and flip charts and a large square table in a triple aspect dining room. Being convenient to reach was a priority for my firm so as Great Oak Park is only one hour by either train or car from central London this was a great advantage. We cooked together one evening and had a wonderful dinner served the other night. The swimming pool is incredible as is the hot tub and sauna which we used to relax. My colleagues were delighted with my choice so we will definitely be back!

Summary: Just spent the most amazing weekend here for my best friend's hen do. The house and its surroundings are just stunning and provide a perfect venue and atmosphere for a fun but relaxed escape. Friday night we partied in the fantastic basement room. Lasers, nightclub-worthy sound system and the bonus of a fancy dress box! Saturday night we had a pyjama party, ordered a takeaway, and watched a film on the huge home cinema screen. We also managed to fit in afternoon tea, a lot of wallowing in the hot tub, some country walks and a whole lot more. I would recommend this to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks to Nicky the owner who put up with my months of pre-planning and over-organising. The only downfall is that the pool is closed from end of September. Of course we knew that before we went and that was fine as we expected chilly October weather but we ended up having glorious sunshine most of the time so it would have been even better if the pool had remained open just for one extra week so we could have had a dip. I guess we'll just have to go back another time in summer!! 👍

Summary: My family and I have just had the most fabulous few days away from it all relaxing in this perfect setting. Although close to London we felt as if we were in the middle of the countryside and loved the stunning views from every window. The enormous pool was great fun and the hot tub incredible! The party room was fantastic with its DJ booth and cinema. There was so much to do and enjoy that we really didn't want to leave, it was truly a break to remember.

Summary: Located in a beautiful countryside with breathtaking views, only an hour from London, the house is fantastic with well maintained facilities. The party room was incredible with laser lights and even a DJ booth and we loved the amazing hot tub and sauna too. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and relatives any day!

Summary: We celebrated my sister's hen do at Great Oak Park. All I can say is that it is absolutely fantastic! We spend the day times relaxing swimming, diving (yes there's a diving board!) and most importantly sunbathing (the weather was perfect!) outside and the evenings partying in the downstairs dance room!! The kitchen was equipped with everything that is needed, the lovely dining room is perfect for 16 guests. The bedrooms are lovely, (some bigger than others) but still all just grand. The dance room downstairs is equipped with a CD player as well as ipod connection and a great sound system. It has a projection screen to watch a multitude of dvds. It is a beautiful house with a lot of character and many lovely rooms, including a game room, a large lounge and the terrace before you come to the pool area is also lovely and very scenic. Lastly, the lady that owns the property is absolutely lovely and so so helpful. She is on call if anything is up (not that it ever is!). She is also great on communication beforehand (I harassed her on e:mail a lot for things leading up to our stay!) and is very responsive with any queries you may have. She also has a wide list of companies that can be used for your stay such as beauticians, chefs etc). Overall our two night stay wasn't long enough! Love, love loved it! Will be going back as soon as possible!
