Chalet Pool is a traditional beach-side wooden chalet situated in a beautiful location at Gwithian Towans which is part of the West Cornwall Heritage Site. It directly overlooks St Ives Bay and the rugged Cornish coastline, voted as one of the top 4 views to be had in the UK (and the Atlantic Ocean, Godrevy Lighthouse, the nature reserve and National Trust land, as well as local hills and farmland. It is a place to relax and take in the outstanding views.
The 3 mile beach is less than 5 minutes walk away and is one of the best surf spots and sandy beaches in the UK. The rockpools are there to explore, and the coastal path lets you experience the habitat of the dunes more fully. Plus - the cafes on the towans, the village pub in Gwithian, and the bar and grill at Godrevy are all within walking distance too. What more could you want for a stay in Cornwall. It is quite simply idyllic.
The property sleeps 6 in 4 bedrooms (2 doubles both with views to the Lighthouse, and 2 singles).
It is a very well equipped chalet, tastefully extended and recently refurbished to a high standard, whilst maintaining a home from home feel.
It has a fully enclosed private garden, decked patio area, surfboard secure storage, hot/cold outside shower, designated parking for 2 cars, free wifi, TV/DVD, wireless speaker system. There is a large kitchen diner with built in oven, hob, large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a separate living room also with views to Godrevy Lighthouse where the patio doors can be widely opened for access onto the decking for added alfresco dining. The landscape is truly a partner with Chalet Pool.
No smoking / vaping is allowed in the chalet, outbuilding or surrounding gardens.
Well behaved and fully house trained dogs are accepted by prior agreement.

Summary: The property was well located and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Lots of little thoughtful extras which made our stay so much easier and it was thoughtfully decorated too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Summary: Spent a week here. Very lucky with the weather. The family all had a lovely relaxing time at this property spending some precious time together. The property had everything we needed and in a perfect location to stroll down to the beach at anytime. Great communication from host from booking to stay. Summary: The location of the property is without question absolutely amazing. The beach is only a few mins walk away which means you can pop down at anytime. Being further up the lane means there isn’t a lot of passing traffic so feels nice and quiet. The property has everything you need for your hols. The kitchen if anything has too much stuff in it and feels a little cluttered - there wasn’t anywhere to put anything. The decking at the back of the property needs attention, there where areas of rotten wood which was splintering and looks a little scruffy. The brambles on the other side of the fence are spoiling the beautiful view and could do with cutting back. Please note these are only little things for information- we had a fab week and the location is stunning.

Summary: Pool chalet was such an amazing place to stay. Pristine throughout. Everything you needed was catered for. It was so peaceful. Great walks from the door!! Comfortable bed which always helps. So happy to be allowed to bring the dogs to stay there too as they loved it as much as we did ❤️ Truely did not want to leave!!!! Hope to be able to book again soon. 😁😁😁😁😁

Summary: This beach hut is value for money. Great location. Compact. Dog friendly. We have returned for a second visit because we couldn’t find anywhere that tops this place. Will definitely return again.

Summary: Had a great time revisiting an old favourite, both dogs were in their element on the three miles of Beach.As to be expected, a bit hit and miss with places open and the increase in hospitality prices is more pronounced in St Ives.The cottage/chalet had all we required and felt very homely, thank you.
