Positive: The location and size of property were great and a garden for the dog was good.

Negative: The fact that within 15 minutes of booking, we received an email saying we had to pay extra, either £6 and have a £300 secutity deposit or £26 to go deposit free. Nothing was mentioned in the booking about these additional payments.and whilst small still ot noce to get as first contact. Not even sure of the legality of this after youve entered into a contract at an agreed price. All of the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The day before we went we received the welcome message that included that we couldn't change the temp of the shower as if we did it wouldnt work. That temp was scalding hot. And the shower could only be used by the kids anyway as the door is so small.

Positive: Lovely cottage in a great location in the Cotswolds. Lots of communication from the owner and easy check in. Secure parking on quiet cul-de-sac. Beds very comfortable in each room and lots of pots and pans to cook with. TV with lots of channels much appreciated.

Negative: The shower was way too hot and could not be altered. We were surprised to see this was still an issue as previous guests have clearly flagged it too. It needs fixing as it is currently too hot to use. For the amount we paid for our stay, this is a minimum requirement. The sofa also felt very unsteady and seems only a matter of time before it breaks completely (as might the coffee table!).

Positive: Beautiful cottage and much bigger than we expected Stunning location and very close to everywhere we wanted to visit

Negative: Sofa was very uncomfortable More cooking utensils needed in kitchen Shower temperature burning hot and signs not to change it so dangerous These are all fairly small things and we would study again

Positive: Lovely location. Clean, spacious property with comfy beds. The property would have great potential if issues were sorted.

Negative: The shower was unusable, the water was scolding hot and we were told we were unable to turn the temperature down or it would stop the shower working. The bath was also not fit for purpose as the plug did not keep the water in unless you physically held it down. I had seen the same things written in previous reviews so was surprised these issues had not been rectified before our stay. The The sofa in the living room was very unstable, and rocked back and forth when sat on. garden was unkept, with overgrown bushes & long lawn. Recycling bin out the front of the house hadn’t been emptied in some time & was beginning to overflow.

Positive: Good size for a family, lovely kitchen and really great location. Loved the village - there was a lovely village shop and 2 really nice pubs.

Negative: Property was quite tired generally and could do with some attention. The Shower only operated at one temperature which was too scoldingly hot to use. We did report this but unfortunately was not rectified during our stay. Back garden was a bit of a mess and basic and uncomfortable seating outside. No real areas to relax inside the house - the living room sofa was pretty hard and uncomfortable and the wicker one in the conservatory was uncomfortable.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the Cotswolds but felt let down by the accommodation. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Positive: On the whole my review is a really good one. The location is fab with places to visit very close by. The location was also in a quiet spot. Bedding was clean and overall the accommodation was very clean however I do feel some money spent to refresh the paint work would benefit. Our only big negative was the showing facilities. I got a welcome message a couple of days before from the owner with instructions on how it get into the property etc. The message explained the shower is not temperature adjustable. On trying it on our first night the shower was scolding. Unusable. So thought of a bath... bath plug had no seal so didn't retain water. We had to use the shower that was over the bath as the last resort. We paid a lot in my opinion for the four nights so expected good usable bathroom facilities.

Positive: Charming cottage. Very clean. Great kitchen and bath.

Negative: Heat was controlled by a device that really needed a manual to assist user in programming. We were really cold one night until I figured out how to use the device to get the cottage heated. Water in shower was scalding hot due to a worn out part. Needed maintenance before we arrived for our stay.
