Positive: We were very unlucky. On arrival there were stacks of old toys and wood outside the house and the owner was on the roof opposite our room using a very noisy scraping tool, so we couldn’t use the terrace and it was also noisy in our room. We wanted to rest but went straight out. On our return after an hour things were even worse, as he was painting a chemical roofing sealant that smelled horrendous. We had ordered dinner and Tatyana’s food looked amazing - but her kitchen was under that roof, the smell of sealant floated into the dining room and we didn’t feel safe eating it (which was the main reason we’d booked). We were so sorry after she’d gone to so much trouble. And we ate no supper that night.

Negative: Emergencies happen, roofs leak. And the owners seemed like nice people. But we felt they should have explained and cancelled our booking so we could find somewhere else. This was our holiday and supposed to be relaxing. We couldn’t use the outside space and were embarrassed at having to refuse the meal.

Positive: We LOVED our stay here, it was our favourite stay whilst travelling around Montenegro. The hosts were amazing, so welcoming. 100% have the dinner they put on, and wine is really affordable!

Positive: Highly recommend staying for the evening meal and breakfast. Both were fantastic, beautiful Montenegro fresh food. Accommodation was clean and serviceable, great value and a fridge packed with wine! Glorious views and a friendly, welcoming family.

Negative: The final 1.7k of the drive to the apartment is a little hairy, fine in the day! The air conditioning was noisy with a strange rattle. But really the whole place was perfect ❤️

Positive: Tatiana is a great host. The dinner is great but be hungry!!!!. They have a lovely red wine made from the vranac grape as well as some great brandys. Room is in a beautiful location and a lovely 25 min walk to the village.

Positive: The location of the property was lovely and the hosts were very friendly. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing - beautifully cooked and extremely generous. The studio itself was fairly basic but very clean and very good value. There was a balcony to sit and enjoy the view and have the odd glass of wine!

Negative: The access road from Virpazar is not the best (not the fault of the hosts!).

Summary: Great place to enjoy Montenegrin hospitality.

Positive: Clean and comfy rooms at a great location. The views are beautiful and everything happens at a very relaxed pace. Best value for money I have ever seen I think. You can eat dinner and breakfast at the hotel which is absolutely wonderful, the hostess is an amazing cook. 20 euro for dinner including aperitif, wine, starter main course and dessert is worth it thousand times over. Better than any restaurant I've been to in Montenegro!

Positive: Lovely peaceful location with gorgeous view up the mountain side. Walking distance to Virpazar. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Yummy Cherry brandy & icecream on arrival. The host cooked us dinner which we really enjoyed & was excellent value. Room was comfortable and clean.

Negative: We got very lost getting there as we didn't see their little road and went driving up in the mountains. On the bright side we had amazing views high in the mountains.

Positive: We would highly recommend staying at "Vineyard Tomo Uksanovic" Studio and Winery. All the rooms overlook the family vineyard with perfect mountain views, super clean and comfy. The Uksanovic family are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely have the homemade breakfast and dinner if you can, Tatyana is an excellent cook and eating our meals in the wine cellar was a magical experience. Come rain or shine we would recommend choosing this family home and local business when visiting near Lake Skadar. Pack light, in case you want to take home some extra bottles of wine!
