Positive: We enjoyed this quiet peaceful retreat. The stylish, compact studio had everything we needed. Loved the stars at nights and birdsong in the day. Nice drive into Mullumbimby, where there are some good dining options, also quite close to lovely Brunswick Heads and Lennox Heads. (Byron is too crazy busy for us these days!)

Negative: So lovely to sit outside, but the mozzies were pretty ferocious! That’s life in the subtropics. The thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent and coils helped a bit. No issues using the composting toilet. However, we did occasionally get a slight whiff of unpleasant odour when sitting outside.

Positive: We enjoyed being away from the noise and hustle. It allowed us to rest and be nourished by nature. We had what we needed and there were also many thoughtful touches to the studio that reflected the kindness of the hosts. The bed was comfortable. Sufficient lighting. We were able to do our morning meditations/qigong practices with enough space.

Negative: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Summary: Wonderful break in nature and close to Mullum and Byron. Highly recommend. Wonderful hosts.

Positive: Beautiful and well equipped little cabin. The photos don’t do justice! Perfect for a getaway to Byron without staying in the hustle and bustle, as long as you have a car. It has everything you need and is very comfortable.

Positive: The location was amazing set amongst huge gum trees with wondrous birdsong. It felt very healthy and natural. Loved the rainwater to drink and use and the conpost loo. Beds were super comfy. We slept well. Also nice and airy with the windows on screens. We didn't need the aircon. Easy 10 min drive to mullum.

Positive: Loved the location of the home set amongst tropical nature. Loved the privacy. Loved the simplicity of it and the cleanliness and fine artistic touches. The compostable loo was a first for us and we were intrigued that it didn't smell at all! We can't wait to go back.

Negative: We had a large van which wasn't the greatest for parking in the allocated spot and maneuvering. Accessing the home is down an outdoor flight of steps which can prove a little wet if raining but the outdoor lighting they had in place was very helpful at night.
