Positive: Its a lovely little cottage in an excellent area. The village is lovely and there are lot's of things to do nearby.

Negative: The shower is very disappointing, being an electric shower there's very little water pressure because of the shower head and adjusting the temperature was tricky. There's no central heating and the only heat available is via two electric plugin heaters which for 4 rooms wasn't very good in March. The kitchen in general was good, with a lovely welcome pack but, the kettle was full of limescale and needed to be de-scaled.

Summary: A lovely little cottage in a great location, just let down by the shower and heating.

Positive: We had such an amazing stay in this very cosy cottage. We didn't want to leave! The hosts were lovely people, very attentive and accommodating. They even leave us some wine, bread, jam and butter to enjoy during our stay. You can park your car in the private grounds right next to the cottage, so it's very convenient and secure. Location is very good too, as you are just a drive away from the most amazing places in the Cotswolds.

Negative: There is no washing machine in the cottage, but this was expected and not a problem for us at all.

Positive: Great location for exploring the Cotswold and beyond. Located behind the owner’s home on the main street of a village, but private and quiet. Well equipped kitchen, we stayed over Christmas when places were closed so the kitchen was great. Lovely welcome package and Christmas decorations!

Negative: There was plenty of space except for the bed and bedroom which was a bit tight…

Summary: Quiet and comfortable, friendly hosts.

Positive: The location was perfect for our purposes. Despite the busy High Street we had absolutely no noise irritation. The cottage had great appeal and served us well. Access to the orchard, Secret garden amd a lovely spot to sit outside made this a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. The owners Bruce and Jackie we lovely hosts and made us feel more than welcome. Cricklade was a great place to get to know.

Summary: Fabulous choice when booking this accommodation. Great choice. Super satisfied. 👍

Positive: I wanted to stay somewhere that felt homely and Straw Cottage ticked all the boxes, it was a charming Cottage and had everything I needed. It was cosy, comfortable, clean and peaceful to sleep.

Negative: little difficult to find the narrow driveway at night, but once you know where it is, it’s fine

Positive: The cottage is super cozy, clean and comfortable. Has everything you need. Also the location to explore the cotswolds is good, you are close to everything and away from the chaos

Negative: The only thing to improve is the shower, is has a very poorly pressure that leas to very uncomfortable showers especially in winter
