Summary: The place wasn’t clean upon checking but owner reacted quickly to correct the worst parts. House have small spaces with low natural light, kitchen and bathroom are outdated (found few dishes not clean in the cabinets), beds not comfortable and noisy (we moved upstairs to single beds). It is a duplex house, so expect noise coming from next door. This is far from what we usually experience on VRBO and overpriced. On a good note, Mark answered quickly and is very nice. We broke the key lock (fell apart when we opened it) and our dog had an accident and owner did not charge extra fees.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Nice layout for 3 families, huge yard for kids and the dog. Convenient location to the horse park and shopping. We were able to prepare a big meal for 8 people, only challenge was the worn knob on the stove. Comfortable beds and amazing water pressure. Dusty baseboards and cobwebs, if that bothers you move along.. I so appreciate a dog friendly host! My only wish for this property is that people smoked outdoors!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the Lexington area this fall, and found lot of fun things to do. The description indicates that the house was recently updated, but from reviewing the pictures, we were not surprised to find that the appliances etc. were quite dated. We did not cook at the house, so can not verify the performance of the kitchen appliances. Overall, we were surprised that the house was not very clean. It appeared to be swept clean, but there were dirty dishes put back away in the cabinets and cobwebs in every corner that were covered with dust (had been there a while). The towels were also "hard" as if they were not dried in a dryer. I washed and dried them again and they were fine. I don't know if these problems come from the owner or someone who they hire to clean the property. There also seemed to be some random items out in the yard (multiple extra grills, dog house igloo, metal scraps with grass/weeds growing over them, and a pickup truck in the back corner) that you wouldn't expect to find at rental property. I didn't get any response to an email that I sent the owner, wanting to make sure he knew the status. Additionally, the stairs to the top floor are very, very steep (again we understand this is an older house), which was ok for our kids but may be good to mention in the description that this could be difficult for guests with knee problems. Overall, this property had a lot of nice features and had a great price for the amount of space. This may fit your needs, but you should be aware of the status. I think it would be a great rental if they put some extra effort into cleaning it up.

Summary: We rented the Stone Cottage for 8 days while attending the yearling sales at Keeneland. The location was perfect as the drive to Keeneland took only 5 minutes. The house has 2 sides so our party occupied one side but found that it was quite private. The furniture is old and well-worn but beds were comfortable. The host could not have been more gracious and helpful before we arrived. Pros: location, roomy, 4 bedrooms, location Cons: a bit worn, limited tv channels, super-strong showers, very rough towels but we bought some that were soft and left them there. We would stay there again as it was a great chance to feel safe during the pandemic and avoid the crowds of unknown people in a hotel. We were quite satisfied.
