Positive: The property was absolutely gorgeous. The owner and manager were so welcoming. The room was cozy with lots of blankets and a stunning view. The food was so good and lots of it! The manager gave us lots of information to help with our hike too.

Positive: The view from the hostel is amazing. Food is tasty as well and Alejandro is an amazing host. The design of the hostel is really cozy. We decided to stay a day extra before starting the loop and chilled the whole day around the indoor fire place. A place worth spending a week there

The host, Alejandro, was incredible and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. All the food was organic, freshly baked, and lovingly prepared by the owner, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our room had a direct view of the mountains, which made the whole experience feel incredibly peaceful and grounding. In the evenings, we played guitar by the fire and fully enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the lodge, it felt like a special moment away from everything. We felt genuinely cared for during our stay. We would highly recommend Starlight Mountain Lodge to anyone starting the Quilotoa Loop or simply looking for a peaceful mountain retreat.
