Positive: closest hotel to the bristlecone pines comfortable beds and warm shower after camping for two nights in the Alabama Hills extremely friendly owner who knew a lot about the area

Negative: no restaurants open in Big Pine after 4p on the day we were there :(

Positive: The site is very convenient and feels inviting and safe. The staff is friendly and accommodating...old school service which is very refreshing!

Negative: The only thing that was a little off-putting was the very strong scent of the air freshener. It was rather overpowering at first but the air conditioner/fan helped reduce that before I headed to sleep.
