Positive: Amazing location, a small walk away from John o groats / 2 minute drive away. The property had very secure parking and the owner was nice and friendly. The cottage itself has history which is interesting, and for the price you can’t go wrong

Negative: The facilities were pretty outdated, the shower for example had slow water pressure and randomly the hot water stopped working. But like I said previously, for the price you can’t complain, overall it was a very pleasant stay

Summary: For the price you can’t go wrong! Reccomended

Positive: The cottage was lovely, the facilities may not be modern but they are more than enough for what is needed. Old cottage so some things like a sink in the bedroom seemed odd but nothing to complain about. Had a little trouble with the key safe and rang the host and he showed up In a couple of minutes and gave us alot of information about the local area and also surrounding areas of interest. He even said he would give us a map as he had plenty to spare. Lovely host and lovely cottage.

Negative: No shower in main bathroom but old building and didn't mind sharing the one in en suite.

Positive: An absolutely beautiful location. A charming cottage very close to the seaside - peace and quiet, stunning views and the center of the village within a walking distance in one package deal. Old building but with necessary amenities. The place can easily host up to six people. The beds were comfortable. I especially liked the kitchen/living room area on the first floor. We took a trip to the Orkneys which was a unique experience and the harbor is not far from the cottage. I can only recommend the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Negative: The only thing we could complain about is a smell of dampness in some rooms but this is nothing unusual in these areas. Considering the age of the building, it was well maintained.

Positive: Beautiful location...pics don't do it justice..comfy and clean..Beautiful area and perfect that the beach in a 5.min walk away...fantastic..

Negative: Surprised to learn living room was up 1 flight of stairs..which could be tricky as it doesn't say on the ad. No dishwasher sadly..but we survived...beds a bit hard..but.again,.we.survived...
