Positive: Close to the sea, good vibe, very Cornish, very welcoming, fab staff, delicious food in the main, except for my ‘full Cornish breakfast’. The buffet was lovely. Excellent bathroom, toiletries, hot water, warmth. Bed and linen was excellent Thank you for the room upgrade

Negative: The stained headboard, dirty carpet - both of which should be replaced, and there was a problem with the curtain at the top. These should not occur especially as you are a sister to a Relais et Chateau hotel. Also the insulation could be increased between the rooms.

Summary: Worth the journey from the Cotswolds, love returning but disappointed at the state of the soft furnishings.

Positive: This is a very special small hotel in a stunning location, and with lovely staff who are very willing to help and extremely responsive. Our 'comfort' score was only marked as less than perfect because our family room (which was otherwise incredible) had 2 roof lights (vellux windows) with no way of blocking out the light which with children aged 2 and 11 meant nobody got much sleep; and our 'safety around the area' score again was only less than perfect as a caution to other parents ie the main entrance is on the main road and although traffic doesn't usually fly by young children could step out if not supervised and get hurt, but a residents entrance down a side street is available and much safer for use with small children. Otherwise it was FANTASTIC and we have already booked to return and stay for longer in a few weeks time

Negative: Please add black out blinds for the roof lights and maybe position the bed in the family room slightly further from the ladder leading to the mezzanine level, otherwise everything was perfect for all ages who stayed in the room (2 - 45 years old). My 2 granddaughters LOVED the mezzanine platform sleeping area which was a real adventure and gave the 11 year old and her parents a degree of privacy you don't get in most 'family rooms'.

Positive: Lovely position overlooking harbour very comfortable , excellent food and staff made us very welcome

Negative: Nothing at all !! We will definitely go back! The only thing I could say is I would have liked two chairs in the room so that we could both sit and look out at the harbour! I’m sure they would have got us one if I’d asked but we were only on a short stay so didn’t want to bother them ! But for future reference perhaps they should do this!

Summary: We had a wonderful weekend and intend to revisit next year
