Summary: Our extended family group of 16 found this home to be ideal for cooking, hanging out, and as a base for skiing and hiking. We were here between Christmas and New Years 2024, which was a warm spell. We are hockey players and skaters, and many of us enjoy cross country and downhill skiing. The warm weather killed any hope of skating on the lake or cross country skiing at White Grass. But we skied at Timberline and hiked extensively in Dolly Sods. We cooked up a storm for many meals and really enjoyed the ample and well-stocked kitchen and big dining table. We made great use of the hot tub and often had a blazing fire going in the hearth. All in all, a great stay.

Summary: We found dirty underwater in one bedroom chest drawer. Having to pick up a key and only having one key was hard for 11 people. We had to make sure that everyone had a way back in. Having to not only strip the beds but do a load of laundry (towels) I’ve never had to do that before.

Summary: This home gave our family everything we hoped for as we gathered from numerous states to celebrate Thanksgiving and my mother's 90th birthday. The space worked beautifully. The outside views and access to the lake and trails was fantastic. The kitchen is well prepared for cooking and serving a large group. We are very glad we stayed at this VRBO.
